The Payment Type
Report
The Payment Type Report can display a summery of all payment transactions that were received via one specific payment method (cash, credit card, check etc.). In the diagram below, you will notice that the report details only CASH transactions made within a specific date range. Use this report to research your practice's most and least popular payment methods.
To generate a Payment Type Report, follow the steps below.
1. From the Reports Menu, choose the Payment Type Report.
2. From the sub-menu that appears to the right, chose the type of payment method you wish to view with the report (i.e. cash, credit, check etc). The blank report will be displayed.
3. This report provides various options. From the drop down menu you can choose to view data that was entered within a bracket any one of the automatic dating options specify -- such as This Week-to-Date or Last-Year-to-Date. From the Filters screen, you can chose to specify a more specific date range by choosing to view data that falls within the To and From dates you pick by using the calendar function. Also, from the Filters screen, you can view data relevant to the Patient or Provider you specify.
4. Click the Print button to print out a copy of the report.
